The story of David and Goliath is recorded in the Bible.
Goliath, a warrior belonging to the Philistines, sat with his army on one hillside, wanting to fight.
At the time, the leader of Israel was Kind Saul.
David, a young shepherd, went to check in on his brothers, who were near the Philistines.
Upon seeing the Israelite scared, David inquired as the to reason.
They explained that they were deathly afraid of Goliath, a violent giant who could easily kill them all. David knew that with God on his side, even a giant held little sway.
So David went to King Saul and offered to defend Israel from Goliath.
King Saul agreed, however his armor was to bulky for the young David, and Daviv went to battle without armor.
Along the way, he picked up five stones from the riverbed.
Goliath taunted David, and David approached, and used a sling to send a stone flying through the hitting Goliath in the center of his head. Goliath fell forward, David ran over and killed Goliath.
The battle was over.
